FPGA Part Number Decoder
Decode FPGA part numbers from AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice and Gowin: family, capacity, speed grade, package and temperature range, field by field.
Results
- Input
- XC7A100T-2FGG484I
- Vendor / series
- AMD (Xilinx), 7-series
- Family
- Artix-7
- Capacity grade
- 100 (~101,440 logic cells)
- T suffix
- Has GTP/GTX serial transceivers
- Speed grade
- -2 (1 = slowest, 3 = fastest)
- Package
- FGG484 — 484-ball BGA (family code FGG)
- Temperature
- Industrial (-40 to 100 °C)
Notes
- Decoding is best-effort from public naming schemes; always confirm against the vendor datasheet before ordering parts.
- Speed grades are not comparable across vendors — AMD/Xilinx counts up (bigger = faster), Intel and Lattice ECP5 differ (see rows above).
About this tool
Vendors pack family, logic capacity, speed grade, package and temperature range into one string, each with their own scheme — and two of them can't even agree whether a bigger speed number means faster (AMD/Xilinx) or slower (Intel, Lattice). This tool splits the string into fields and explains each one. It covers AMD/Xilinx 7-series and UltraScale/UltraScale+, Intel Cyclone IV/10 LP and MAX 10, Lattice iCE40 and ECP5, and Gowin LittleBee/Arora. For the background, see the part-number reference.
